Rensselaer County recieves NRA grant | Crime

TROY - The Rensselaer County Probation Department has recieved a $3,094 grant from the National Rifle Association to further develop that departments firearms training program. 

Probation officers that are armed are assigned to supervise higer risk criminals and must maintain a high level of training as well as frequently train with other law enforcement agencies.

The grant will help the department to safely provide more realisitc training so that they may better protect the community.
