Fourty-eight local schools teamed up with McDonalds restaurants of the Capital Region to raise $ 17,551.20 towards educational programs.
This annual fundraising event was held on April 15, 2010 from 4:30 to 7:00 p.m., where principals, PTA presidents and teachers from participating schools partnered with hundreds of McDonald’s employees at restaurants in Albany, Schenectady, Troy, Watervliet, Lee, Pittsfield, Adams and North Adams, Delmar, Clifton Park, Schaghticoke and Ballston Spa, Queensbury, Hudson, Johnstown, Gloversville and Middleburgh and surrounding areas. Raising funds for their schools, cooperators assisted employees in welcoming customers, receiving food orders, and food preparation.
McDonalds's Owner Operators of the Capitol Region, President Renee Reardon says McDonalds is committed to helping community schools.
"It was very gratifying to not only repeat, but to increase the success of McTeacher's Night again this year. We are delighted that so many parents, teachers, school administrators and community members rally for such a worthy cause," Reardon said.
