Free learn to swim program | Parents & kids

Mayor Harry Tutunjian announced today that the city’s free Learn-to-Swim program is open and accepting applications. Held at both the Knickerbacker and South End city pools, these two week lessons teach kids at various levels of swimming proficiency.

Mayor Harry Tutunjian commented that “safe summer fun starts with knowing how to swim. We offer these programs as a fun and educational way to teach kids how to feel comfortable when playing in water.”

The program is available Monday thru Friday at both pools. The schedules are:

· Knickerbacker Pool on July 19, 2010 through July 30, 2010 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm

· South End Pool on August 2, 2010 through August 13, 2010 from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon. For more information call 270-1125.
